What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol. It’s a compound found in the Cannabis sativa plant, also known as either marijuana or hemp.

CBD is not the part of the plant that gets you “high”. That fact will cause some to stop scrolling. That’s ok. Those people are thinking of the other compound mainly found in marijuana, called THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol).

Plain and simple, CBD makes you feel relaxed while THC has psychoactive properties that give you a feeling of euphoria. CBD has none of those psychoactive properties. It will not make you feel sedated, altered, or have any unintended side effects either, except in rare cases when mixed with other medications. But it does have plenty of benefits.
